We updated Patent Integration to version 2.2.6.
This updates includes the following great function improvement.
1. Patent Evaluation Index “PI Score” Improvement.
We improved patent evaluation index “PI Score”. User can easy to survey important patents.
For example, the PI Score ranking of patents honored at the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation‘s 2011 Japan Innovation Awards is as follows.

2. Top Assignees, Applicants and Inventors Ranking Function of Reference Cited Patents.
When you display all citing patents, you can now view top applicants and inventors. See how frequently a company/inventor is citing a patent. This provides insight into where patent rights are being sold to.
For example, 85% reference cited of USP7,673,066 are Apple’s patents. it strongly indicates the Apple developing or selling related technology.
3. New Patent Evaluation Index “PI Score (-)”
We introduced new patent evaluation index “PI Score(-)”. PI Score(-) indicates broader but less reference cited patents.
This score, but it sheds light on infrequently cited patents. Based on this index, you can uncover important patents you would have otherwise missed during citation analysis.
4. Improvement Patent Viewer
The citation number, PI Score and PI Score(-) are now visible on the patent display screen. Check these patent evaluation index for each patent so you can be fully aware of its importance as you conduct your patent inspection.
* How to update Patent Integration ******************************
Please update according to the following procedure.
Method 1: (v2.2.2 or later needed)
1. Boot Patent Integration
2. Choose “About Patent Integration” from menu.
3. Click “Check for updates now” button.
Method 2:
1. Open http://www.patent-i.com/install/ by web browser.
2. Click “INSTALL NOW” button.
3. Click “Open” button of popup.
4. Click “Replace” button.
